Frightened Canine Desires Sanctuary: An Urgent Appeal for Compassion and Care

She’s scared and wants to escape

I walked into an area not seen by the public. This is where some of the scared dogs are. This is where I saw Petra, she broke my heart.

Petra is so scared she was pushing into the way looking for a safe place to be.

My heart hurts for her. She lives in this fear every day, she’s been there nearly a month.

I wanted to take her out and give her a break, I got a leash slipped on her but she just wanted to disappear in the corner.

I didn’t want to traumatize her more, so I just sat in her kennel with her.

She’s wearing a pink collar, someone loved her at one time. These are the types of dogs we see blossom outside the shelter.
