The last thing Sofia expects when she criticizes her former classmate Chloe, who works as a shop clerk, is to find her wealthy husband walking into the same store with a mistress. But Chloe finds a sinister scheme in store when he gives Sofia money to make up for his error.
Sofia ran into her former classmate Chloe, who was employed at the store, as she was looking through luxury clothing. She contrasted her outfits to her own high-end pieces with a sly smile.
“Is that you, Chloe? I can’t believe you work in this hellhole, oh my god! Her words were burning, yet her tone was pleasant as she greeted.
Chloe gave a warm grin in spite of the evident jeering. Hello, Sophia. I’m happy to see you! What’s up, she inquired.
With her smile intact, Sofia performed a little spin around. “Best of all, baby!” she said, extending her hands to display her jewels. “I go to parties, wear diamonds, drive a Porsche, and generally enjoy life as always.”
Then, with a sigh, she shook her head at Chloe and expressed her regret. “I informed you! You too wouldn’t have needed to work if you had dressed nicely, styled your hair, and had some cosmetic surgery, Sofia continued.
Sofia instantly asked for coffee while Chloe tried to divert her attention by giving her some tea. To get the drink, Chloe called over Liam, another cashier.
But Sofia needed to brag once more. She gave the little child a quick finger snap. “I’ll have a latte made with skim milk and cream that is lactose-free.” She said, “Make sure it’s not too hot.” “Hello? Do you hear me?
Liam went to fetch the coffee after giving Chloe a knowing glance while maintaining their civility. Sofia returned her focus to Chloe and continued to critique.
“Chloe, I promise you that I wasn’t going to come to this hellhole, but Tom called me urgently at work,” she said. “Tom manages his own sizable business and sets his own hours, but—what am I getting at? You could not comprehend.
Chloe kept nodding and grinning as she attempted to influence her former friend to choose them.
Liam brought her coffee, and Sofia said, “Anyway, in short, I decided to have some fun while he finishes his business, so I ended up here.” “It’s freezing!”
Liam nearly dropped the coffee cup as she pressed it into his shirt. As soon as Chloe saw Sofia was going to go into another insulting tirade, she brought up the new collection and its exclusivity.
After Sofia stopped talking and gave Liam a pout, Chloe showed her the pieces by taking her to the higher floor.
Unexpectedly, a publicly loving couple strolled into the shop, making plans for the evening. The man’s rough voice was broken by some tender giggles as the woman began to chirp, thanking him for delivering her groceries.
After observing them for a few while, Chloe offered Sofia another hat to try, but she quickly understood that Sofia had become icy and would not take off her existing hat. Sofia pushed Chloe’s hand away as she attempted to persuade her to look at the new one.
Chloe just had to make a tiny movement to notice the sorrow in her former classmate’s eyes. “Sofia, what is happening?” With a pout, Chloe inquired, then an epiphany came to her. “Isn’t that your husband?”
Sofia merely stood there, holding back her sobs and breathing laboriously. Her feelings were so different from the woman a few minutes ago.
“Are you not going to face him?” Chloe enquired. “I believed you to be more resilient than this.”
“I am unable to.” Everything belongs to him. Sofia said, “He has everything—even my automobiles are registered in his name.
“Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems like he’s already thrown you aside already.” Pointing to Tom’s open adoration for the other lady, Chloe made a comment. “Having money is one thing, but at least show some regard for your marriage.”
Sofia squared her shoulders and sniffed. She turned to face Chloe and said, “You’re right,” before briskly heading downstairs.
“Tom” With a loud voice that filled the whole store, Sophia exclaimed. “You are very daring! What is happening? Who is this woman?
Tom said, “Um, listen, what are you doing here?,” his eyes widening like a deer caught in headlights. I mistook you for being at home.
Hi, I’m Melissa. It’s good to meet you. The woman standing next to him began, extending her hand.
“Avoid getting your claws on me!” Sofia cut him off.
Tom turned to his wife and sighed, urging Melissa to continue perusing the store. “Oh my God! You’re causing a stir! He yelled at Sofia, “I don’t need a scandal.”
“I don’t comprehend. How about our union? Do you not give a damn about how I feel?
“Emotions? Are you insane, come on? This ring is meaningless,” Tom scoffed. “And you are aware of that! I married you as an investment, and you married me mostly because of my wealth.
“No!” Sofia retaliated. “I wedded you out of love.”
Jesus. Hurry up! With a gold card out of his wallet, he announced, “This is a beneficial relationship only.” “Get yourself something nice right here.”
Sofia became enraged and hurled the gold card back at his chest while yelling, “You can keep your stinking money! We’re through! Then Chloe and she hurried outside.
Chloe comforted Sofia outside, giving her a place to stay and a job. You’ll manage to solve it. With a back pat, she said, “If that’s okay with you, I can help you.”
I apologize, Chloe. All Sophia could say was “I’m sorry,” but she gladly accepted Chloe’s assistance.

A few minutes later, Tom and Melissa abandoned the store, their date wrecked. After bringing Melissa home, he invited his closest buddy Luke to his place. They spoke about how losing Sofia might affect his ambitions and have unintended consequences.
Tom said, “If she divorces me, I can’t set her up to take the fall for the company’s financial eeh…creative moves.” “I was spending so much money on her because of that.”
Luke reassured him, “A gold digger is always good as long as there’s gold.” “She will return.” She’s not had a job for years. When she realizes how awful it is, she will crawl over to you.
“Perhaps, but maybe,” Tom said as he poured himself a hefty drink. “There’s other things I could do.”

Sofia was welcomed over by Chloe, who told her to remain for whatever long she wished. But she had a secret that nobody else was aware of. That evening, Sofia became ill and had a terrible vomiting fit in the restroom when Chloe was already asleep.
For some reason, she only had morning sickness at night. How can I raise my child by myself? without any money? Though sad, Sofia assured herself she could pull it off. I can do it too, if others can. Correct?
After returning to her bed, she was taken aback to see that Tom had sent her a text. It said:
Sophia. I apologize. I’ll send you $100 million to make it up to you. I would like to meet with you tomorrow to discuss this. I won’t stop you if you still want to go. I cherish you.
She told Chloe the following morning, but she shook her head the whole time. “He’s telling lies. If I were you, I wouldn’t believe him—I have no idea what he’s up to.
“But it’s a $100 million,” Sophia held on to optimism. What happens if he is real?
Before heading out of the home for work, Chloe informed her rather sternly, “Again, I wouldn’t meet him if I were you.”
Sofia exhaled and remained still, reflecting.

Tom came to find Chloe at work. She prayed that Sophia would not arrive quite yet. A few minutes later, Chloe approached Tom as he was reaching for his phone. She took out her own phone and opened a specific app, even though she wasn’t sure if it would be useful.
Tom declared, “It will be her head on the block, not mine, once she signs the documents.” It’s time for her to reimburse herself for the large amount of money she spent. What’s a short prison sentence?
Despite not knowing who he was speaking to, Chloe discreetly gasped and kept listening.
“Although I was the one who carried out the fraud, I cannot afford to face legal consequences. I’m going to lose everything. “She’ll stop talking after a few million,” Tom sighed into the phone. “I have to leave. She is present.
Not at all! Gazing at Sofia as she entered the store, Chloe considered. She glanced about for a moment, appearing to be a lost little girl, but Tom came up and gave her a friendly greeting.
His voice became as soft as silk as they sat, “I pledge to make up for what I did, even though I realize it was horrible. Hold on, I have a document for you to sign. I sent you a text message about this.
“What?” Sofia pondered.
Tom handed her some paperwork. He grinned and said, “I’ll deposit the money directly into your account as soon as you sign these documents.”
Sofia reached for the papers and began to inspect them, but Chloe stopped her and nearly skidded across the floor to get them. She cried out, “Don’t do it!” and turned to face Tom. “I overheard your talk, and I won’t let Sophia get locked up.”
Sophia listened in disbelief as Chloe revealed Tom’s schemes. “He will blame you for all of his false offenses if you sign the paperwork. You’ll serve jail time instead of him, Chloe said.
Tom looked like a puce person. “What in the world are you? Return to your work now! Sophia is telling lies! Why would I ever want to treat you in this way? He yelled, “I love you,” gesturing to his chest.
“I filmed our exchange. He is unable to get— Chloe persisted and dug out her phone to reveal that she had videotaped the exchange. Tom, however, assaulted her in an attempt to stop her from hitting play. As one hand reached for her hair to divert attention, the other struggled to grasp the gadget.
Even though Sophia was taken aback by his behavior, she jumped at the chance to assist Chloe.
“Release her! You are a dishonest piece of—
Liam was among those who had gathered and attempted to talk Tom out of his relationship with Chloe. When he did, Chloe straightened, but her eyes were filled with determination. “The police have already been called, and they are in route. You’re going to prison, she declared with pride.
Tom attempted to flee, but he was too late. After making an arrest and removing Chloe’s phone as proof, they departed. The instant they were out of sight, Sofia broke down in tears.
With her breathing hard still, Chloe murmured, “It’s okay, sweetie.” “There’s nothing to be concerned about anymore.”
“When the father of my child is going to jail for fraud, I have nothing to worry about,” the woman sobbed.
“That’s absurd! How wise you are, Sophia. “You simply undervalue yourself,” Chloe urged, encircling Sofia in her arms. In addition, I’ll assist you with all of your needs.
Touching her stomach, Sofia nodded. Chloe was correct. She was capable of anything and was more than just Tom’s wife. She had to, for her child.
