Alfonso Ribeiro and Angela Ribeiro, Ava Sue’s parents, have posted updates on her condition on social media.
In order to avoid the possibility of scarring, the little child who fell off her sit-down scooter the day before her fourth birthday underwent emergency surgery on May 12.
In a post with pictures of his daughter’s injuries, which included serious burns on her right elbow, shoulder, and area around her right eye, Alfonso expressed his gratitude to the medical professionals at Kare MD Skin Health. He also said he was proud of Ava for her bravery.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor said in an Instagram post that it was not the kind of day you wanted the day before turning four. The day before turning four is not the kind of day you desire. Just wanted to send [Kare MD Skin Health] a heartfelt thank you for the emergency service and process to help reduce the likelihood of [scarring]. I am so pleased of how courageous my infant daughter was during the procedure.
Ava’s mother, Angela, went into further detail about the incident and claimed that she had a bad feeling that morning that Ava would be in danger.
She described it as “a vision/motherly intuition” in a letter.
I told the family, children, babysitter, and friends helping with Ava’s birthday party preparations that “we are not doing anything wild or unsafe today that could potentially result in an ER visit. When I uttered these remarks, I practically caused everyone to look at me.
Angela’s warning, however, was obviously not taken seriously enough because Ava fell from her scooter shortly after she had made it.
Dr. Raffy at Kare MD Skin Health saw Ava as soon as possible following the accident in an effort to lessen the likelihood of future scarring.
She was a trooper, but it wasn’t a great way to spend your last day as a 3-year-old, Angela said.
“Adding more hugs to this precious girl’s tonight.”
The Kare MD Skin Health team celebrated Ava’s birthday on their own Instagram page on May 12.
“[Alfonso], I appreciate your warm sentiments. We feel really privileged to care for your darling princess Ava. Good luck with your recovery, they wished in the caption.
We can all agree that it is terrifying whenever one of our babies sustains a wound. Thank god Alfonso and Angela’s infant is doing well!
Do you have any memories of your kids getting into terrible accidents? What were your emotions at the time?
If you’d do everything to guarantee the long-term health of your child, share this post on Facebook.
