This seems to be a problem that other people have experienced as well which makes it even more ridiculous and the friend should fix his cat.
This person had some different perspectives and explained to her that maybe having two kittens would help.
People seemed to think that having multiple kittens might be a good option but we don’t necessarily know if OP was willing to have two kittens.
In this circumstance, OP appears to be NTA, and we must unquestionably concur with them. In all actuality, she is free to act however she pleases and adopt any cat she chooses.
The specifics also make more sense to her. The buddy only needs to mend the cat to prevent them from having to go through this again.
