For several days, a small homeless Poodle has been seen snuggling behind a wall on the streets of South Los Angeles. The dog had been injured in a hit-and-run accident and had been in pain for several hours. Someone eventually phoned “Rescue From The Hart” in order to save the poor animal.
When rescuer Annie Hart arrived, the dog resting on the ground appeared to be shivering and vulnerable, prompting Hart to name the canine Layla. When Hart approached Layla with nice words, she recoiled at first because she was afraid of people; however, Layla warmed up to her new companion after a few minutes.
Annie continued to hold Layla, assuring her that she was safe. Layla jumped into Annie’s arms and kissed her when she was convinced of her honesty!
The hospital informed Annie that Layla’s intestines had been damaged and that her situation was critical. For the next two weeks, Layla’s body showed no signs of healing. Layla, on the other hand, recovered owing to Annie’s calming presence and her new foster parents.
Layla battled to recover over the next few months, but her foster parents inspired her to keep trying. Annie and the foster family were overtaken with emotion when Layla eventually healed and found a wonderful permanent home! What an incredible transformation!
