This sweetheart probably had mange for most of her short life, and it was getting the best of her. She had fallen asleep in the corner of a shed and would have passed away if rescuers didn’t come.
When she heard our voices, she was able to wag her tail, and her black-and-brown eyes told us everything we needed to know.
She had to get help or she’d pass away. We rushed her to the hospital and hooked her up to an IV to keep her hydrated and give her nutrients.
By the morning, she was doing a little better, so we started treating her infected wounds and mange.
Her improvement was quick, and we were happy to help give her the care and love she needed to get better.
This is Cotton now!
