Meesha, a little puppy, was scared and felt scared. She had just had a procedure, and the strange feeling her body was having scared her endlessly. Little Meesha’s painkillers started to wear off slowly, and she started to whimper and cry.
She didn’t know it at the time, but she was in good hands. The people who work at the BARCS Animal Shelter in Baltimore are very kind and caring. Some of the best people in the world work as volunteers and veterinarians at the shelter, and all of the animals who come there get great care. BARCS spays and neuters the animals that come into its care so that they can help the population of stray animals more. They reach out to the community at the same time to help each animal find a permanent home.
One of the animals that went through that process was little Meesha. She didn’t know that she was being cared for by a loving team at the shelter, even though she was. But Meesha didn’t have much to worry about. When Surgical Assistant Dennis Moses heard Ur Meesha crying, he picked her up and started to comfort her right away. Luckily, a witness was able to get a video of this amazing event.
Meesha gets lots of kisses from the doctors to help calm her nerves and calm her fears. He rocks her back and forth to make her feel better, which is so cute.
