Life is the greatest gift, and we enjoy seeing this in the animal kingdom, where parents are known for being too protective of their young. So, animal lovers get excited when an animal gives birth, especially if it is an endangered species. This time, people from all over the world dress up as party guests to celebrate the birth of a baby western lowland gorilla, which is a species that is very close to extinction. The brave mother, a 9-year-old gorilla named Kala, gave birth to the calf with the help of the baby’s father, Jock, on Wednesday morning.
The event happened at the Bristol Zoo, where the zookeepers were thrilled to meet the happy mother’s new baby. They were thrilled to see Kala holding her baby. When the zookeepers posted pictures of Kala watching over her baby, she always had a smile on her face. This made thousands of Internet users all over the world feel very sorry for her.
Lynsey Bugg, who is in charge of animals at the Bristol Zoo, said this about it: ,,Seeing a baby gorilla is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. They are such an iconic and charismatic species. We’re all pretty excited about it.”
The zoo staff knew that Kala was going to have a baby, so they watched the brave mother’s every move. They couldn’t say anything, though, because Kala seemed so calm. When the baby was found, it was a stunningly beautiful day. Lynsey says that she got pregnant and gave birth last year, but things didn’t go as planned and the baby passed away. This time, we were a little worried, but it’s amazing that she was able to give birth naturally and that both the mother and the baby are doing well.
They’re glad to hear that the days go by without any problems, even though it’s too soon to tell what the new creature is.
Lynsey went on to say: ,,Even though he’s still pretty young, we’re cautiously optimistic because she loves her daughter so much and takes such good care of her. Early signs are good, and the baby seems to be healthy and about the right size.”
