Many of us worry about who will take care of our pets if we are not here anymore.
Everyone should learn from this story to always be ready. We never know what tomorrow will bring. A very old man who lived in Russia passed away. He wasn’t ready, so his dog had to go live with someone else. This new family treated Cocos, his beloved dog, very badly for a whole year. Cocos is an Old English Sheepdog, also called a Bobtail. Their beautiful coats need a lot of care. Their long fur can get tangled up and grow into their eyes easily.
Coco’s new family didn’t care about grooming him, so his fur grew out of control and got so matted that it made it hard for him to move and breathe. This wasn’t just a matter of looks. It was a matter of life and end.
Cocos wasn’t just not groomed as often as he should have been. He was completely ignored. All dogs need exercise, love, the right food, and regular grooming. This poor boy was left alone in a kitchen as if he didn’t exist.
As you can see, the people who saved Cocos had to do a lot of work to make her feel better.
The poor thing didn’t even look like a dog!
Coco was taken back to the hospital by the people who helped. They worked for more than three hours to untangle his matted fur. Under the fur, they found sores and infections on his skin that had been caused by the fur.
Is that an eye? OMG, he’s down there!
After three hours, a beautiful dog comes out.
Coco can move and breathe. Now all he needs is a family that will love him forever and never let him down. Then Elena came, and she was Cocos’s ideal mother. She knew everything there was to know about Sheepdogs and was glad to give him the life he deserves. She knows how to take care of him and make sure he stays healthy and active.
