Photographs taken by a Bangladeshi photographer of a touching rescue will renew your faith in people.
In Noakhali, Bangladesh, a newborn deer was separated from his family by a flooded river. His prospects for survival were poor. However, a local child named Belal risked his life by crossing the swollen river to rejoin the young deer with his family.
To save the youngster, my friend was even prepared to dive into the river. However, he succeeded, and when he came back, we thanked the youngster.
Only five to seven individuals watched the event, but it was a breathtaking sight.
The pictures demonstrate how the rapid river waters occasionally rose beyond Belal’s head, leaving him holding the newborn deer above the water.
