A little puppy named Meesha was terrified and scared. She had just had surgery and was terrified by the strange sensations her body was experiencing. Slowly the anesthesia wore off and little Meesha began to whimper and cry. She didn’t know she was in safe hands.
The team at the BARCS shelter in Baltimore is incredibly caring and loving. The volunteers and veterinarians at the shelter are some of the best in the world, and the shelter provides excellent medical care to every animal that enters the shelter. To better help the stray population, BARCS spays and neuters the animals that enter the system. At the same time, the shelter strives to help the community so that all animals can find a forever home.
Little Meesha was just one of the animals going through this process. She didn’t realize it when she was in the care of a loving foster family. But Meesha had nothing to worry about. When surgical assistant Dennis Moses heard the puppy’s cries, he immediately took Meesha in his arms and began comforting her. Fortunately, a passerby managed to capture this extraordinary moment on film.
Here is video of surgical assistant Dennis Moses holding Meesha, a scared and crying rescue dog, like a baby after surgery. The doctor gives Meesha kisses to calm her down and calm her fears. He rocks her back and forth to comfort her and she is very sweet too.
