When Little Red was a baby, he and his family were abandoned and left to starve to death. The puppy was two hours away to depart from life when they rescued him. Little Red and his siblings were left in a courtyard with an older, violent dog when the family moved. The aggressive dog was their father. ,,The puppies had to deal with whatever they could find to eat or what the older dogs dropped when the neighbours fed them.” says the woman who rescued him.
,,Originally there were six puppies and when I was alerted to the situation one evening and went to the site, there were only two puppies left. When I got home, there was a little black puppy in the garden, covered in flies, and I thought it had already gone. I let my son hold the puppy and went through the gate. “Little Red” was scared because he didn’t understand that people were trying to help him. I captured the puppy. Little Red, bit me twice on my backhand, so I let him go and let the other puppy out.” the woman said.
,,We called the police and one of them came to take the dying puppy to the shelter. He didn’t survive, but animal control got involved. It was clear that Little Red’s condition was very serious. The next morning, on my way to work, I stopped to get something to eat and Little Red could barely walk, he crawled under the edge of the porch and collapsed in a heap.”

,,I couldn’t leave him alone, so I picked him up and drove home, where I gave him a nice flea bath before taking him to the vet.” the lady explains.
,,The dog is about to die in two hours. He immediately needs a blood transfusion. The dog will spend also all day on IV fluids just to make it.”
,,He did so well for a few weeks but unfortunately the parvo set in and he had to spend another five days in the hospital. Thankfully he overcame that as well.”
,,He is a fighter with a stunning will to live.”
