True friendship exists not only between people, but also between animals.
Buick the dog used to live in a shelter, but in the spring of 2020 he was taken in by a family who moved into their vacation cabin for the summer. But in August, the dog chewed a hole in the fence and ran away.
The owners searched for their dog for a long time, scoured the neighborhood, put out flyers, and even a sign with the address and phone number on the collar did not help.
Friends also helped in the search, posting pictures of the dog on social media and spreading such posts.
Several times they called them, but the dogs they found looked a lot like Buick, but unfortunately not them. People did not give up hope, but the dog was never found.
One day a girl called Monica and told her owners that she had seen a dog that looked like Buick in their backyard property, on the same street where they lived.
The girl sent photos and people couldn’t believe their eyes: he was in the pictures! Monica said that the dog was not alone, there was a red dog with him, as if guarding him.
The owners went to the address and Buick recognized them by his voice, rushed towards them and wagged his tail. Nadine was touched and decided to take both dogs, the new friend was named Bentley.
When they found Buick, it was freezing outside. No one knows how the dog would have survived the cold and the search for food, if not for his new friend, who most likely helped the “lost dog” to survive in such conditions. Now the two live together, because they have been through so much that it is simply impossible to separate them.
