Eleven years after the disappearance of her young cat Angie, Alicia was frozen with surprise when she received the news that the cat had been found.
On Sunday, May 30, Alicia was relaxing at her parents’ home when the phone rang. On the line was a veterinarian from Sessel, in the Haute-Savoie region, where she had lived before moving to Sarthe. The person on the phone said they had “a 14-year-old kitten in their care.”
“I immediately thought of Angie, a young kitten who had gotten lost in the Designy area, which is in High Savoy,” Alicia told me.

The veterinarian confirmed that it was undoubtedly Angie.
“I was contacted by a couple who found a very weakened cat, weighing less than three kilos and suffering from problems in the mouth. Thanks to the electronic chip, I found Alicia’s coordinates,” the veterinarian said.
After such an unexpected call, Alicia immediately set off across France to pick up her cat. After 11 hours of driving, the owner and the cat met.
“We are more used to bad news, so meeting the baby was a total thrill for all of us,” the vet shared his feelings.
Angie behaved just like she did 11 years ago, snuggling at the end of the bed.

To make Angie stronger, Alicia continues her treatment at the veterinary clinic in Sarthe.
