A loyal dog, named Boncuk is the most frequent visitor of the Medical Park Trabzon Karadeniz Hospital in Turkey.
The little white dog comes every morning at 9 o’clock and waits till evening in front of the glass door of a Turkish hospital.
The hospital personnel met the clingy dog for the first time when he followed the ambulance which brought his owner Cemal Şentürk in for his treatment.
Şentürk’s relatives took Boncuk to their home but the dog refused being parted from his owner for more than a few hours. “Even if we took him to our home, he still ran away and returned to the hospital to wait for my dad”, Aynur Egeli, Şentürk’s daughter said to the Turkish news portal DHA.
Boncuk doesn’t disturb anybody – he just patiently waits in front of the door and keeps looking for his owner.
Boncuk’s loyalty convinced the hospital staff. They especially go outside to feed Boncuk and keep him happy while he’s waiting. The hospital even organized a reunion between Şentürk and his dog, by allowing Boncuk to sit next to Şentürk’s hospital bed and being petted by him.
As Boncuk finally got to see his owner again, he became a totally different dog – he finally smiled again and wagged his tail for the first time since a few days.
„Boncuk has been with me for 9 years”, Şentürk said to DHA. “I really miss him too. He has already got used to me. Sometimes I call him from the window, then he relaxes a bit.”
Thankfully Şentürk has been released from the hospital according to The Independent, and his little dog was overjoyed finally having his dad home again. Boncuk once again proves that there is nothing in this world like the love of a dog and nothing comes even close to his loyalty.
