The pony was said to have been left in a rescue shelter after his owners left him abandoned on a farm. Elizabeth, of Hallvington Village Book Club in Wiltshire fell in love with the pony when she and her daughter visited the shelter to see the animals that were looking for loving homes.
Whilst there, Elizabeth and her daughter Eby were smitten with the poney and knew that he could bring smiles to other people’s faces, just as he did theirs. According to Eby, Mickey the pony gives the locals “An extra reason to smile” when he delivers their books every month.

The rescue pony was found abandoned on a farm last October when he was rescued, but now he has become a local celebrity and is said to be bringing smiles to the local residents during the national lockdown.
Its nice to see that the 11 year old Mickey has found a new leash of life and is using it to help bring positivity to the locals who have been living under a nationwide lockdown for the past 12 months, due to the current Covid-19 pandemic.
We’re proud of you Mickey! And we hope you are happy with your new owners!
