Tara Courtland was on a camping trip with her friends and family on the Potomac River when all of a sudden, she met a little friend who overstepped her comfort zone a bit. She noticed that somebody is quickly following her through the leaves just before she took a seat, but she couldn’t have imagined what happened next. A short while after she sat down, she felt something crawling on her arm.
When she looked at her arm, she noticed a little brown lizard who crouched on her shirt. Tara loves the nature, but she didn’t want to be that close to the lizard, therefore she tried to carefully drive him off.
The little lizard decided to trick Tara rather than rushing away by discovering the optimal hiding spot – in this case it was Tara’s hair. Tara said she didn’t get why the lizard chose to crawl up her arm, but the time he got there, her hair seemed like the ideal spot for him to veil, especially because her hair is almost the same color as the lizard’s skin. Tara asked her friends for help, but the outcome wasn’t like she had imagined.

Tara was afraid that if she jumps around the lizard will fall off and get hurt, but at the same time she didn’t want the little animal to be in her hair. When her 11-year-old son and his friends came to see what’s happening they were mesmerized because for them it was such a cool thing to see, so they instantly took some pictures.

In the end the little lizard got afraid because there where so many people, therefore he tried to burrow deeper into Tara’s hair. Lastly the kids were able to shoo the little animal away from his perfect hiding spot and put him back into the bushes, where he was safe. There’s one important thing Tara learned that day – always wear a hat while camping.
