I hung out with this guy a lot with the intention of learning to buy and sell cars. He wanted someone to hang with, and I wanted to learn the ins and outs of the car business. Big deal, that was a trade-off I could live with being broke, in college, and ready to make something of myself.
That being said, we never had sex.
He saw the situation as one with a viable future with us together, even though it was clear the relationship had an expiration date and was for business purposes. I told him after a couple of months of doing business together that I didn’t think we should see each other with the expectation of things escalating romantically, but I hope we can stay friends, etc.
Next thing I know, I’m getting calls from family members.
Apparently, while I slept at this guy’s house, he took tons of pictures of me (even staging some to make it look like we had sex). He’s sending all of the pictures via Facebook and is sending all of my family members friend requests. I’ve cut contact completely and am sort of freaking out.
I’m trying to gather all of the messages between him and my family, but so far I only have a couple.
Edit 1: I’m located in Georgia, USA. Edit 2: He also posted pictures of me on Facebook with my full name. None of them are nudes but do allude to lewd behavior.
Conclusion
The aspiring entrepreneur’s pursuit of knowledge turned into a nightmare when their mentor betrayed their trust in the most shocking way possible. Will justice prevail for the victim of this twisted revenge?
Here’s how people reacted:
EDIT: Sorry some people don’t like this, but it’s proper legal advice.
* Spent the night at this guys house
* Had a relationship, never intercourse (though possibly sexual)
* Building off the last point, you slept nude in his house
* He has sent nudes of you out to people
* He took these nudes without permission, you never consented
* These nudes were taking in a room where you had reasonable expectation of privacy (bedroom, bathroom, etc.). Especially if you were sleeping in the same room he was?
I am not a lawyer. He violates 16-11-90. This is a misdemeanor for first time offenders.
He may have violated, 16-11-62. (Unlawful eavesdropping or surveillance), 16-11-90 is a specific subset, not sure how a lawyer/prosecutor would select different actions. He likely has violated peeping tom laws as well. He violated 16-11-90 just by sending the pictures, taking them without consent with reasonable expectation of privacy likely means he violated peeping tom laws, which I’m not sure but may label him as a sexual offender. I’m not sure if revenge porn is a different statute than 16-11-90, but hes breaking laws.
Gather all evidence. Speak to the cops immediately.
